History

The New Property Ventures Group of Companies first became involved in the Bot River Lagoon area with its award winning development Arabella Golf Country Estate which commenced in 1997. The piece of land which is now Benguela Cove was also launched as a residential securitised estate in 1997 but the development was never undertaken and the land remained as sheep grazing until the New Property Ventures Group purchased it in 2004.

The vision and concept for Benguela Cove was generated by Mike Nixon and Chris Drummond (the Owners) together with the professional team lead by DHK Urban Concepts. The vision was to provide a "Farm in Africa" with all the lifestyle benefits for owners but in a secure and hassle free environment.

The result today is a 200 hectare manicured environment with vineyards, olive groves and lavender fields with breathtaking views across one of Southern Africa's largest lagoons towards the spectacular Kogelberg World Bisophere.

Walker Bay

Surrounded by the fynebos covered Koegelberg Mountains lays the cool climate region of Walker Bay. Famous for the once small coastal town of Hermanus, arguably one of the worlds top shore based Whale watching sites. Southern Right Whales visit late winter early spring attracting visitors from all over the world. Nestled within soft lush valleys lies some of South Africa's most exciting wine estates producing award winning vintages.
